The State Government has announced to give Rs1 lakh as financial assistance to the kin of martyrs who laid down their lives in different wars in the service of the nation.
The officials of the district soldier office, Pithoragrh, have urged the parents of such martyrs to submit the records of their deceased sons to the said office, Pithoragrh by June 8.
The State Government would give the amount from the Chief Minister Relief Fund, said Colonel (retd) Bharat Prakash, district soldier welfare officer, Pithoragarh. Presently, the nomination process is on. The proposals would be sent to the State Government, Prakash added.
