In a big boost to the nascent Government Doon Medical College (GDMC), the Government of India has sanctioned a sum of Rs 9.56 crores for building trauma centre and burn injury centre.
The Principal of GDMC Dr Pradeep Bharati Gupta said that a sum of Rs 6.10 crore has been earmarked for the trauma centre at the medical college. Similarly a sum of Rs 3.46 Crore is provided for burn injuries project.
The Government has set up a time limit of 18 months for completion of these projects. Dr Gupta and Dr Anil Joshi would be the nodal officers for the trauma centre while Dr Gupta and Dr Mohit Goyal would be the nodal officers for project on burn injuries.
