A delegation of roadways employees met the Managing Director Brijesh Kumar Sant on Tuesday and expressed their resentment on delay in the implementation of agreement reached with Government on April 18, 2016.

The delegation also handed over a memorandum to Sant in which early resolution to the pending 24 point demands was made. The General Secretary of Uttarakhand Roadways Sanyukt Parishad, Ramchandra Raturi led the delegation.

Raturi told The Pioneer that an agreement with Transport secretary on the demands like construction of new roadways depots, new recruitment, pays disparity and purchase of 1500 new buses was reached in month of April but no progress is being witnessed on the implementation part of the agreement.

He said that the employees would hold a Statewide agitation on April 18 if their demands are not accepted soon.
