Accident spree continuing unabated taking its tolls, two persons died in road accident at Chamba, Tehri distirct on Thursday. Deceased have been identified as Vinod Uniyal, aged 48, and Jagdamba Uniyal, aged 70, residents of Kanharwala, Bhaniyawala. Four persons sitting in a car plunged into a deep gorge of 100 metres at Kotgoan near, Uttarkashi-Rishikesh Road. They were travelling to Bhaniyawala from Uttarkashi. Chamba police were informed about the accident at around 1.55 pm on Thursday. A Tehri police officer said that SDRF and local police personnel were sent to conduct rescue and relief operation. Two injured persons- Kamleshwar Prasad and Sunita Uniyal, residents of Bhaniyawala- were rushed to a local hospital.
Deceased’s families have been informed and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, he added.
