RMSA staff resume agitation

The contractual laboratory/ office assistants of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) resumed their agitation on Monday. The workers blamed the State Government for not keeping its word on adjustment all the 1,831 RMSA workers.

The workers gathered at the protest site at Old Raipur bus stand and resumed their agitation which they had suspended after the assurance of State Government on August 04. The speakers said that the State Government has reinstated 1201 workers who were employed under UPNl but left out remaining 628 those who were employed under HIlTRON.

The job contracts of these RMSA workers were terminated on March 31 this year when the union government stopped funding their salaries. They then undertook a long agitation after which the state government accepted their demand of reinstating them in the Government schools.
