The outsourcing employees of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) staged a protest at old Raipur Bus stand on Monday and expressed their anger by burning the copies of Government Order (GO) which was released in the month of August.
The State Government had appointed some youths as laboratory assistants on contract in the Government schools under RMSA last year. The contract which expired on March 31 this year was not renewed in current financial year. On the demand of these employees the State Government assured them to extend their contract and on August 22 released a GO in which the contract of these employees was extended.
The president of Out sourcing employees association of RMSA, Subhash lakehra said that even after release of GO, nothing is done by the department for extension of the contract.
He said that there are 656 employees who were posted under RMSA and the association now demands that their services should be adjusted in the Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD). The members of the association burned the copies of the GO on Monday and decided to undertake a secretariat march on Tuesday in support of their demands.
