RlD likely to eat into Cong pie, may make things easier for BSP to sail through

Manglaur seat being long deemed to be a Bahujan Samaj Party citadel, the party catering to Dalit-Muslim combine won the seat thrice since Uttarakhand came into being in 2000.   Congress remaining the runner-up, this time the possible entry  of Rashtriya lok Dal into the fray is set to make it a triangular contest. Observers believe that RlD, pandering to the Jat voters, is likely to eat into the votes of the Congress, thus making things easier for BSP to sail through.  Significantly, there is a    sizeable presence of the Jat voters in 22 villages lying under the constituency and their votes are likely to go en masse to RlD in case it finally chooses to test the electoral water here.
