Irked over negligent attitude of the State Government towards addressing their pending demands, the employees of various departments under the banner of Rajya Karmachari Sainyukt Parishad (RKSP) protested at Parade Ground and shouted anti-government slogans.

The agitators warned that they will intensify their protest unless demands are met soon.

Works in the various departments were adversely affected due to the work boycott by employees in support of their pending demands.

RKSP head Prahlad Singh said that their 23- point demands include the removal of pay anomalies among State Government employees, timely promotions, fixing the age limit for State employees at 62 years and other demands.

According to him, the association has boycotted works for three days in various departments in support of the pending demands. “If demands are not sent soon, we will be forced to intensify our protest across the State,” he warned.
