Irked over delay in recovery of allegedly kidnapped teenage daughter, Rishinagar councillor Neetu Valmiki along with her supporters protested outside SSP office and demanded recovery of her daughter without delay.
According to Valmiki, her daughter was kidnapped on Wednesday morning. She alleged that two days after her daughter went missing, police have failed to find her and arrest the accused. Valmiki said that she had lodged an FIR on Wednesday against six persons Suresh, Jaunti, Shubham, Monu, Ashu and Manoj in the Raipur Police Station and a case against the accused under sections 363 and 364 of IPC was registered.
Dozens of Rishinagar residents led by Valmiki reached the SSP office and shouted slogans against police administration for not arresting the alleged kidnappers so far. Rakesh Valmiki, councilor’s husband said that Suresh is the main accused in the kidnapping of his daughter. On Wednesday morning, the daughter was kidnapped by some persons while she was walking outside her house.
The accused forced her onto a three-wheeler and fled. Taking cognisance of her complaint, SSP Kewal Khurana formed a police team headed by SP (Rural) Mamta Vohra and assured the family that the daughter will be recovered and accused will be arrested soon. Raipur Police Station in-charge SS Bisht said that police have been deployed to arrest the accused. Police have called accused Suresh, Jaunti, Subham, Monu and Ashu and their interrogation was on while this report was being filed.
