Ghanshyam Tripathi, a retired Professor of DAV College here, has demanded a fair and independent probe in the matter in which he was deprived of seniority and other job benefits on the basis a forged report.

The retired Professor while addressing the newsmen at Gandhi park on Monday said that on a complaint submitted by one of his junior colleague, RK Jain in the year 1991, the Governor in his capacity as Chancellor of the State universities took a punitive action against him and cancelled his approval in the year 2007 due to which he lost seniority and other emoluments.

He said that later a Right to Information (RTI) inquiry revealed that the report of HNB Universities on which the action was taken on him was fake. Tripathi said that he has asked for time from Governor for more than 10 times but the Governor’s Secretariat denied permission every time.

The retired professor said interestingly the Governor’s Secretariat too has acknowledged that the letter of university was fake.He said the former Governor Aziz Qureshi has ordered an inquiry in his issue but nothing has happened till date.

Tripathi said that he merely want that Governor should listen to his grievances and order a fair and independent inquiry in the episode.
