Residents protest against poor state of civic amenities

Residents of ward- 13 comprising Awas-Vikas Colony, Sanjay Colony, Bhotiya Colony to name a few protested against poor conditions of civic amenities including the choked sewer lines of their respective colonies here on Wednesday.

At the same time, demanding early redressal of their grievances, the protestors led by councilor from ward-13, Deepa Pandey and senior BJP leader Navin Pant, later also handed over a memorandum to the MlA from Haldwani and state Finance Minister, Indira Hridayesh in this connection.

Handing over the memorandum in this regard to the local MlA, the residents of the ward-13 strongly raised their disappointment over poor civic services of their area and urged the MlA  to ensure proper basic services in their areas. Present rainy conditions have only worsened the situation of basic amenities, they regretted.

The matter of concern is that the sewer lines remain badly choked. We have already urged the officials concerned to look into the matter, but of no use, said senior BJP leader Navin Pant. Therefore, we tried to draw the attention of our MlA Hridayesh to the poor conditions of the basic services and request her to take necessary steps so that conditions of the basic services could be improved, he added. End.
