Talking to the media persons after the programme, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the provision of 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker members of the general category was a historic decision of the Union Cabinet. Directions have been issued for implementing this in Uttarakhand too. Aspects of this provision are being examined though it can be stated that it has been implemented in Uttarakhand.
Regarding the BJP’s preparations for the parliamentary polls, he said that the party was fully prepared for the elections.
