Due to failed love marriage, a research scholar at Forest Research Institute committed suicide by hanging herself from a noose tied to the ceiling fan in the hostel under Cantt Police Station.
Panditwadi post in-charge Manjul Rawat said that the deceased has been identified as Manisha Rana, wife of Balawala resident Rajendra Rana. She was a research scholar living in FRI hostel. Police reached the incident site after being informed by FRI control room. Police recovered the body and sent it for post mortem.
Police recovered a suicide note in which Manisha stated that she loves her parents who had spent a large sum of money on her education. Manisha may have committed suicide two days ago. The investigation in this regard is on, he added.
