The inquiry officer, Additional District Magistrate Navneet Cheema, has submitted his inquiry report regarding the irregularities in the appointment procedure for the lT (license in Teaching) grade and lecturer grade posts in the aided private secondary schools in Pauri district to the District Magistrate Chandresh Kumar.

The DM said that he has received the report from enquiry officer but on the other hand Additional Education Director NS Rana has not yet started the inquiry in this regard due to non availability of the appointment procedure documents from the Chief Education Officer.

On the complaints regarding irregularities in the appointment in the aided private secondary schools in the district, both Director of Education Uttarakhand and Pauri District Magistrate had ordered inquiries.

ADM Cheema said that irregularities were found in the teaching certificate submitted by the applicants appointed to the post of lT and lecture grade. The appointments of those who could not show the bank statement of salary for which they gave the experience certificate have been recommended for cancellation, but those who gave bank statements for a limited time period in support of the certificate have been asked to submit the bank statement for the remaining years within one month.

Cheema said that the inquiry report has recommended that legal action should to taken against the selection committee members and the education officer who ignored  the verification of the documents while giving the approval to the lT and lecturer post appointments in the different institutions.

It is pertinent to mention that appointments were made to about 70 vacant posts in different subjects for lT and lecturers by 25 aided schools after the approval of education department.

Out of the received application for lT grade and lecturer post, the top seven candidates were selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the different fields-academic, sports, teaching experience and others and called for interview.

According to sources, it had been alleged  that some of those appointed paid up to Rs  15 lakh in bribe for being appointed to teaching position but this could not be substantiated.
