With the distribution of stationery released by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to gas agencies, new connections are being issued by the agency to the applicants in Dehradun, said IOC Dehradun area manager VK Sundriyal on Friday. He said that taking cognisance of complaints received from the gas connection holders against Shiva Gas Agency about irregularities in supply of cylinders to them and failure of the agency to address the complaints despite repeated instructions to the agency owner, the operation of this agency was suspended in the month of June. The report of the inquiry conducted by the IOC officials has been sent to the higher officer. The customers of Shiva Gas Agency have been shifted in agencies like Himani gas agency, Uttaranchal Gas Agency and others. The operation of Shiva gas agency will be banned after receiving instruction from the higher officer, he added. According to him, there is sufficient supply of gas cylinders from the company and connection holders are being given their refill within stipulated time.

Sundriyal further said, “We are informed that some agencies had stopped providing new connections to the applicants due to shortage of stationery. We have recently printed the stationery and distributed it among gas agencies. The agencies have been directed to procure stationery from the office and ensure that new connections are being given to the applicants in the district," he added.
