Commissioner of Kumaon AS Nayal, has stressed on the need to expedite pace of repair and reconstruction work in disaster-hit areas. Reviewing the progress of the ongoing repair and reconstruction works at the disaster-hit areas in Bageshwar on Wednesday, Commissioner Nayal, asked the concerned officials to carry out the repair works in the disaster-affected areas on priority basis.
At the same time, he also advised the officials of the Bageshwar district administration to carry out the ongoing repair and reconstruction works in coordination with the recently-set up project implementation unit, saying that it is an important unit and timely completion of the repair work should be ensured.
Therefore, all the officials concerned are supposed to carry out the works in coordination with the said unit, he added. Nayal also asked the officials of the Bageshwar district administration to maintain the quality of work. There will be no fund constraint for carrying out repair work in disaster-affected areas. Therefore, timely completion of all work is the need of the hour, he added.
