Governor Syed Ahmed today laid the foundation stone for various development works to be done by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) at the Jaipal Singh Stadium.
The stadium incidentally the place where street vendors will be relocated as part of the programme to remove encroachment of streets will be completely renovated at an estimated cost of Rs 3.28 crore. The renovation work is expected to be complete in one year.
The completed Jaipal Singh Stadium will be greet people and customers who will flock the place with a small park, shops which will be allotted to the street vendors, pastures of grass and multi-gymnasium. The foundation stone was laid in the presence of Ranch MP Subodh Kant Sahay, Assembly Speaker CP Singh, Ranchi DC Vinay Kumar Choubey, CEO RMC Dipankar Panda and Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargiya.
