Rajya Sabha MP and noted lawyer Subramanian Swamy has categorically said that Hindu can’t live amid the Muslim dominated regions. In an Islamic country there is no freedom for a Hindu but in India there is more freedom for all. Talking about the Jammu and Kashmir, He said that in four districts of Kashmir there is problem because of Muslim dominance. He said, “To address this we should remove article 370 with immediate effect. Along with this we should also rehabilitate the ex-servicemen with arms then we can make change in the demography and solve the long standing problem of Kashmir as well. Besides it we should snap all kind of communication with Pakistan with immediate effect.” He expressed these views in the presence of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat while addressing at a function held to mark Narad Jayanti organised by Vishwa Samwad Kendra here at the ONGC auditorium in Dehradun on Sunday.

He also said that by 2018 there would be a Ram Mandir at Ayodhya and that the case would be won in the Supreme Court as well because the Indian constitution accords freedom of religion. “As per the Hindu tradition we are free to offer prayer inside the santum sanctorum so nobody can stop us. As far as the matter pending in the court is concerned then we have clinching evidence so we would win the case and would have the Ram Mandir by 2018. As far triple Talaq is concerned then it is true that we can’t intervene in religion but on moral ground our constitution allows one to intervene. Triple talaq is a question of morality because they pronounce ‘teen talaq’ without having deliberation with the other partner so the government is free to make intervention in it,” he said.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat categorically said that sometime mixture of news and views puzzle the people so one will have to understand this hairline difference in order to achieve ones highest objective. He said that during disaster there is need to adopt extra sensitiveness while reporting because if one exaggerates then it may depict a wrong picture. Sometimes area based reporting may hamper State tourism so there is need to report about such areas which are not affected by disaster so that the interest of people is not compromised.

“As is known, Uttarkhand’s economy is based also on tourism and if you do such reporting without maintaining sensitiveness then you may hurt it unknowningly. If you maintain highest standard then you can achieve your desired goal,” said Rawat. He appealed to the people to publicise Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) and Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) more emphatically. He expressed concern about the declining sex ratio in Pithragarh district of Uttarakhand and also appealed to the social activist to make that they participate actively in order to address this menace. Before this the speakers also expressed their views on contemporary issues and how it is being associated with media as well.

Vishwa Samwad Kendra felicitated eight journalists including Nishith Saklani, Rajkishore Tiwari, Prashant Rai, Rajesh Barthwal, Nihi Sharma, Aftab Azmat, Kuldeep Negi and Chandraprakash Budakoti with Narad Samman on the occasion- comprising a certificate and memento.
