On the charge of selling land of one Sundar Singh Bisht in Udham Singh Nagar to other persons through forged papers, an FIR has been registered against former Someshwar MlA Rekha Arya’s husband Girdhari lal Sahu in Kichchha police station.
Arya had cross-voted when the crucial confidence motion for the Harish Rawat Government was placed in the Assembly on May 10 as dictated by the Supreme Court. She was the tenth Congress MlA to raise the flag of revolt against Harish Rawat.
Complainant Bisht stated that Sahu had completed registration of the same land in the name of another person by claiming that the land belonged to him.
Bisht said that he was having five acre lands that were owned by his parents in Devriya. Besides him, two brothers Jitendra Bisht and Dhirendra Bisht and their mother Nanda Devi were the joint owners of the land. Sahu had just entered into an agreement concerning the same land and he assured that he would soon complete the registration of the same land soon. Sahu had completed the registration of those lands of which Nanda Devi and Jitendra Bisht were the owners.
But he had also sold lands owned by Sundar Singh Bisht and Dhirendra Singh Bisht illegally, depriving them of their dues, Bisht alleged in the complaint.
He further alleged that Sahu had made Nanda Devi and Jitendra Bisht the owners. Bisht said he had resisted when the person to whom the land was ‘sold’ came to do construction in the same land. Subsequently, Bisht registered a complaint in Kichchha police station.
Kichchha police station officer PK Upreti said that Sundar Singh Bisht, resident of Deveria, had registered a complaint and a case under sections 420/467/468/471/506 of IPC was registered against Girdhari lal Sahu in the same police station. Team has been formed to investigate the case, he added.
