With the Union Tourism Ministry sanctioning the tourism development project for Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Harish Rawat launched a mobile application, ‘Heaven Almora,’ aimed at providing a boost to tourism activities in the Almora district.
This facility will provide access to information related to all administrative aspects including police control room, disaster emergency operation centre, police station, check posts and Tehsil.
The Almora district magistrate Savin Bansal informed that the application also contains information with pictures of various hill stations and its spiritual centres like Jageshwar, Surya Mandir at Katarmal, Binsar Mahadev, Chitai and Nandadevi among other shrines.
Information about the traditional Aipan art of Kumaon region, folk dances, traditional attire and local culinary dishes.
This application can be downloaded on Android phones through Google play store, added the district magistrate.
