The ongoing Parivartan Yatra of the Bharatiya Janata Party reached Balawala in Doiwala Assembly constituency on Sunday with party leaders including BJP Uttarakhand Assembly election in-charge and Union Health Minister JP Nadda lambasting the Harish Rawat-led Uttarkahand Government while stressing that time had come now to oust the “corrupt government” from State. He also praised the Narendra Modi-led Union Government and its decisions especially demonetisation. He addressed the masses stating that the prime minister is watching every malafide activity and has taken the demonetisation decision to help the poor. He also said that whatever problems people are facing following the demonetisation will be sorted out in coming few weeks.
He said that during general election-2014 people had elected new leader as prime minister and he has been putting effort to change the image of india. He said, "To make the state free from fear and corruption you will have to weed out the Congress-led Uttarakhand government. As you know, the Congress promotes corruption and currently prime minister Modi is running a crusade against corruption so you should reject the Congress and elect BJP-led Uttarakhand government.
Responding to CM Harish Rawat's allegation that union government is not releasing fund to the state because they have a policy of negative bias towards Congress-led State Governments, Nadda said that being a union health minister he has sanctioned Rs 270 crore worth of projects in health sector and even released Rs 177 crore but state government has utilised mere Rs 34 crore so one can understand how serious the state government is regarding public issue. "As you know that they have been laying emphasis on mining and other corruption, breaking all past records by the day because they believe mainly in patronising corruption and corrupt persons," he alleged.
Haridwar MP and ex-CM Ramesh Pokhriyal NIshank averred that the Congress-led state government had stopped Atal Khadyann Yojana and did not bother to fund the 108 ambulance service. he said, "You must have heard that ambulance could not move because government did not allocate fund for fuel. They have misused even the disaster relief fund. Had they not siphoned off public money, the condition of the state would have been much better. As you know that union government has given crores of rupees for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of disaster affected people and disaster affected areas. Now state government is claiming that they have spent huge sums of money in disaster affected areas but still people are running from pillar to post for getting their compensation which is due since 2013. These are few examples by which you can evaluate how Harish Rawat government is deeply involved in corruptionIJ," said the MP.
The Union health minister is moving along with the Parivartan Yatra from Dehradun to Haridwar till December 5. Due to this reason local MP and MlAs were given space to address the gathering. To boost probable candidate for the coming assembly election, Trivendra Singh Rawat, who had abandoned Doiwala constituency during assembly election 2012 and later fought Doiwala assembly by poll, was given chance to address the people. Due to this Tehri MP Mala Rajya lakshmi Shah and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal NIshank were also participating in the yatra.
