Amidst Vedic chanting and rituals, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from from Ranipur, Adesh Chauhan, inaugurated his chief election office near Shivalik Nagar crossing on Sunday.
Addressing a public meeting after the inauguration of the office, Adesh alleged that it was because of the biased attitude of Chief Minister Harish Rawat in allocation of funds and facilities to MlAs that the developmental works have been affected in the area. He said that the election was a fight between good governance and bad governance. To remove the bad governance of the Congress, the "dawn of BJP" was a must, he averred.
Stating his own difficulties being a legislator from Ranipur, Adesh said that CM Harish Rawat was biased in distribution of funds and facilities to the legislators. “I was not given even the basic facilities which legislators should have to run the developmental activities in the region. This resulted in hampering of developmental activities in our region.” He also criticised the Congress candidate from Ranipur, Ambrish Kumar, opining that Kumar was mainly interested in securing a ticket to contest the polls - whichever party offered him one - and was least concerned about the development of the constituency.
