Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has appealed to the people of Haridwar to maintain self-restraint, peace and social harmony.
The CM’s spokesman Surendra Kumar alleged that some people had attempted to disturb the social harmony in landhaura, Haridwar. In a statement released to the media, Kumar states, “Some people want to disrupt the social harmony in order to pursue their dubious personal and political interests. The law will take its course regarding such persons. The people of Haridwar will not let such ulterior motives of dubious gains succeed,” said Kumar.
He further said that the Haridwar district administration is maintaining vigilance regarding such elements. He appealed to the public to desist from taking the law into their hands.
