Rawat addresses GEU students during info centre inauguration

Timely dissemination of important information about students to their guardians can avert undesirable problems arising out of communication gap, said Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat while addressing the students at the inauguration of information centre at Graphic Era University on Thursday.

The CM appreciated the university management for taking a step to improve the communication and coordination between university faculty and guardians of students that would ultimately benefit the students' future and welfare. The Chief Minister also congratulated Dr Kamal Ghanshala on the innovative projects made by the students of GEU and GEHU — including a mobile bomb detector device that can be used in defence and security applications — and praised him for extending the scope of technical education in the State. To establish better coordination between the university and students' guardian this centre has been established. The information centre will also become a hub for career counseling, providing information about programmes being run by the university.
