Ravindra Jugran slams Harish Rawat for delaying lT examination

Former Chairman of Rajya Andolankari Samman Parishad and BJP leader, Ravindra Jugran has said that the long pending process of lecturer Teacher (lT) examination should be expedited. The BJP leader who also is the patron of the lT Sangarh Samiti told media persons here on Monday that the former Congress Government under Harish Rawat deliberately sat over the lT examination for political reasons.

He said that thousands of the lT aspirants are now hoping that things would improve under the President’s rule. Jugran said that it is unfortunate that the former Congress Government did not act even after the High Court (HC) ordered it to declare result three times in succession.

He said that if the result of the lT examination is not declared soon and selected candidates given appointment letters then thousands of the unemployed youth would start a State wide agitation.

The President of the Samiti, Devendra Bisht said that Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education (UBTE) released recruitment advertisement for 3089 posts on February 24, 2014 and after a long delay the examination was conducted on March 29.

He informed that the Government sat over the result of the examination citing problem of the horizontal reservation on which the aspirants knocked the door of Uttarakhand HC which asked the Government to release 90 percent of the result on November 16, 2015.

Bisht said that the stubborn UBTE did not release the result even after the court’s order on which the HC took a tough stand and asked it to declare the result by January 30, 2016. Despite the orders of the court, the board apparently under pressure from the Government declared only 42 percent result.

Bisht informed that the aspirants went to the HC again on the plea that declaration of 42 percent result amounts to contempt of court.

The HC on February 29 asked the Government to release complete result and appoint permanent candidates in all the vacant posts of teachers.
