The chairperson of SCPCR, Usha Negi stated that the boy accused of raping the girl who had run away from Balika Niketan was also counselled by the psychologist. During the counseling, he confessed his crime acknowledging that he knows what he did was wrong and that he regrets his actions. He also informed during the counselling that he is a student of Class X and his result will be out soon. He has expressed his wish to continue his education further too.
According to Negi, the father of the accused is dead and the condition of his family is quite miserable. Negi has instructed officials to continue the regular counselling session of both the teenagers, the victim as well as the accused.
