Dehradun police have arrested two persons on the charge of gang raping a minor. The accused have been identified as Shubham and Abhinav, both residents of Kanwali Road. The victim’s parents earlier had registered a complaint at Cantt police station, stating that her minor daughter was gang raped after being drugged by Shubham and Abhinav. As per the complaint, the accused had shot objectionable photos, prepared a video and started blackmailing the minor. The minor had left the house on September 18, returned on September 20 and narrated the incident to her parents.Acting on the complaint, a police team led by sub-inspector Kusumlata Purohit was formed. A case under section 376d of IPC and sections ¾ of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered in the Cantt police station. Based on the investigation, police have arrested Subham and Abhinav from Chakrata Road on Friday, said Cantt police station in-charge Shankar Singh Bisht. He further said that the accused duo would be sent to jail after being produced in the court.
