The State urban development minister Madan Kaushik said while chairing the Raksha Sutra programme organised by the BJP in Sewa Ashram on Friday that the State Government was going all-out to serve the interests of the women. “A slew of women- centric welfare schemes are being run by the State Government. In one of such schemes, an amount of Rs 51,000 is deposited for the girl from her birth till her eligibility for marriage in the form of FDR to help her enjoy a kind of economic independence,” he said. He further said that several moves are afoot to further beautify the holy city. “Skill India Centre is coming up in SIDCUl for the development of the youth,” he added.
