Dehradun residents continued to face intense heat wave conditions on Wednesday. The sun blazed throughout the day, forcing the people to confine themselves to their respective offices and homes.
The Met office has forecast rains for Uttarakhand on Thursday at isolated places (05 per cent area), especially in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts.
Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre Director Anand Sharma said the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 38.4 degree Celsius and 24.7 degree Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Thursday is partly cloudy sky. Thunder cloud development may occur in some areas in Dehradun. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 39 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius respectively on Thursday, it is learnt.
