District administrative officers were seen on Tuesday giving final touches to preparations for the programmes lined up to mark the International Yoga Day on Wednesday. However, rain might prove the spoilsport with the Met centre having forecast moderate to heavy rainfall in Dehradun on the day.
Keeping the warning in view, the administration officers installed water-proof tents at the sports campus of the Parade Ground where the main programme of the day would be held. Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat along with senior politicians and bureaucrats aside from thousands of people are expected to participate in the main function.
SP City PK Rai said that with a large number of people being expected to attend the yoga programme, the district administration has made elaborate security arrangements apart drafting a from traffic plan to spare the commuters much inconvenience. Parking arrangements have been made at
Parade Ground near Doon Club, Dunga House, Kanak Chowk and some other places.
