Finally, rains came in Pauri district in the evening hours on Wednesday. The spell relieved the common people of the scorching heat they had been reeling under for the past few days. The rains have let the district administration, forest and police departments breathe a sigh of relief. They looked elated as they thought that the spell with more to follow would help the district rid of the menace of forest fire.
