light showers and cloudy conditions prevailed in different parts of Haldwani on Sunday. Amid rainy conditions, poor visibility badly hit the vehicular traffic particularly during morning and evening hours here on Sunday.
More so , snowy conditions in high altitudes of the hill State as reported only added to the woes of the people living in these areas. Though the schoolchildren and office -goers heaved a sigh of relief as they had not to go out due to holiday on Sunday, occasional visitors, experienced a tough time due to the poor State of vehicular traffic.
The long distant travelers were the worst sufferers as they faced a tough time to reach their destinations on time due to traffic jams and del lay in arrival of the vehicles. The prevailing weather conditions also brought down the atmospheric temperature in the hilly as well as Terai areas of the hill State keeping it below 10 degrees Celsius.
More so, the rain showers also caused water-logging as usual in many roads particularly in urban areas like the Haldwani city, hitting the vehicular traffic. Some of the roads particularly, the Haldwani-Ramnagar Road, the Haldwani-Nainital Road to name a few were the worst affected due to water logging.
