Dry weather was witnessed with residents experiencing warm temperatures during the daytime across the state on Sunday. However, rain/snowfall has been forecast at various places across the state from April 3 for the next three days which is expected to provide relief to the residents. Uttarakhand Meteorological centre officials said that forest fires being reported from various parts of the state are also expected to abate for some days from April 3 following the change in weather forecast.
The Meteorological centre director Bikram Singh said that a western disturbance which is approaching the state now would trigger the rain across the state, particularly in the mountains, from April 2 onward.
light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by hail/squall is likely to occur at isolated places especially in the mountains of Uttarakhand on April 3.
