In his 37- minute speech, Rahul Gandhi established a good rapport with the crowd and interacted with it on many issues. The Congress president was sharp-pointed, focused and  he enthused the crowd with wits and barbs most of which were directed at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his unique style, the Congress president claimed that the industrialist Anil Ambani who had been provided with a contract under Rafale deal had no experience of making aeroplanes. Waving a piece of paper,  he said that leave alone an aircraft, Anil Ambani cannot even make a paper aeroplane, a comment which triggered  peals of laughter. On one occasion, while charging Narendra Modi with letting Neerav Modi flee the country after defrauding banks to the tune of Rs  35,000 crores, he pointed out a youngster sitting in the crowd and asked his name.

After getting to know that his name is Nitin, he said, “Tell me Nitin if an amount of Rs 30 lakh is provided to a person like him to set up a business how many people would get employment? I am sure definitely more than what Neerav Modi provided.’’   During his speech, Rahul kept his focus trained on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attacked with his now famous ‘ Chowkidar, Chor Hai,’ slogan frequently.
