All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi has ascertained that there is a need to empower the women in order to become a superpower and made crowd live because he was asking question and people were responding by answering their question.
Seeing huge presence of youth Congress workers, Rahul Gandhi reiterated that only the Congress can address their problem so he appealed them to educate the people about Congress Government’s achievements and their policy ahead of lok Sabha election-2014.
With an intention to lure the women voters, who were present in large numbers, Gandhi said that there should be a day when women of the country constitute half of the lok Sabha or State Assemblies. Appreciating the women contribution, Rahul said leaders should learn something from women because only women forget their own pain while serving their family. By saying this he earned huge round of applaud. Attacking the BJP, Rahul said that we talk about empowerment of the people, RTI and lokpal but BJP asking to give us power. BJP says you make me Prime Minister and we will solve all your woes. These are the few instances which is enough to educate the people that who are desperate to be in power.
Sharpening its arsenal, Rahul said that BJP pretends that they know everything. For instance they talk about holy book Bhagwadgeeta and Quran but they did not go through it because it clearly says you serve others, bow before others and feel pains of others as well. Few people tried very hard to deny Gurunanak, Mahavir and Gautam Buddha but still they are relevant today.
He further said that BJP talks about corruption but they don’t talk about the corruption in Karnataka, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. To check corruption we brought five anti corruption bills, which are pending because BJP did not support the bill so far. Although he reiterated that to pass the bill congress led UPA II government is going to bring ordinance to enforce the bills. He also reminded that they talk about corruption but it is known to everyone that who brought RTI. Don’t you think that it is an important tool to crusade against corruptionIJ
Attacking the BJP, the Gandhi scion said that BJP lacks vision because they want to get into power by using all means. He reminded that to provide ground to the poor people their government brought food security act and Right to education Act.
To lure the Ex-sevicemen, which resides large number in Uttarakhand, Rahul said that when state was in distress then it was army who worked very hard in rescue and relief operation in disaster affected areas of the state.
