The Gallant Garud Gunners have successfully concluded an Adventure White Water Rafting Expedition at Rishikesh on Wednesday. This team, after traversing a daring 139 km stretch of grade III to grade V rapids was flagged in at Vir Bhadra Barrage by Brig Sandeep Sood, Commander of the Garud Artillery Brigade.
This expedition was held in the Ganga over four days from 25 to 28 Sep 2016. A team of 24 daring adventure enthusiasts comprising of all ranks of the Garud Gunners Brigade led by lt Col BN Jha was flagged off at Rudraprayag on Sep 25 by Brig Sandeep Sood, Commander of the Garud Artillery Brigade.
In the words of the Commander, expeditions such as these are a litmus test of immense determination, grit and perseverance in the face of odds, executed with precision by this team of Gunners of the Regt of Artillery, which is a laudable achievement.
