Commissioner of Kumaon AS Nayal at a meeting in Nainital on Monday directed the PWD officials to complete roads which were pending for long on priority basis. He also asked the officials to conduct regular meetings to review the progress of the ongoing road works. The Commissioner stressed on the need to complete the Chief Minister’s road construction related announcements on priority basis.
All the roads which remained pending for more than five years needed to be completed on priority basis so that people of the respective areas could be benefited, further said the Commissioner. Nayal asked the PWD officials to specially take care all such roads which are connected to the villages. He also asked the officials to complete those roads at the earliest which do not fall under the forest department’s jurisdiction.
