In yet another accident, a Public Works Department employee died and three others were seriously injured when the vehicle they were sitting in plunged into a deep gorge at Aadukhan in Nainital district after a tree uprooted by the falling boulders loosened by landslides fell on the car on Thursday evening. The accident occurred at around 6 pm on Baldiyakhan-Devidhura road around nine kms away from Nainital district headquarters.
The deceased was identified as Prem Singh 59, resident of Rajpur. The injured were Bhagwat Rajpur, 40, Jaswant Singh, 46 and Harish Arya, 43. Prem Singh died on the spot. It is learnt that Prem Singh had boarded the vehicle at Baldiyakhan after his duty was over. local residents rushed to the spot after the injured screamed for help.
later, police reached the spot and the injured were taken to the local hospital. The body of the deceased
