Private medical institutes are playing a remarkable role in health services of Uttarakhand, said the Director medical education, Dr Ashutosh Syana after inaugurating a modern cosmetic laboratory at department of dermatology of Mahant Indiresh hospital on Friday. He lauded the role of the hospital in the health sector the state.
The hospital has installed an ultra modern Ulma laser in the skin department with the help of which the cosmetic treatments like unwanted hair removal, scar removal, removal of acnes, tattoos and other lesions can be done effectively. The cost of the machine is 60 lakhs. The Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Vinay Rai said that the cost of treatment would be kept less than what the private facilities are charging. He added that the the hospital management is committed to make available all the ultra modern facilities under one roof. The Head of the Department of Skin, Dr A K Mehta said that facility would be beneficial for the youngsters who are particular about their looks and aspirants of armed forces interested to remove tattoos. Dermatologist Dr J S Bisht said that many youngsters loose self esteem due scars, acne and other lesions and this facility would help them a great deal.
