Student leaders forcibly closed the DAV (PG) College and DBS (PG) College on Monday in protest against introduction of evening classes on self finance mode and college principal’s decision on releasing merit list for admissions to bachelor degree courses.
The classes for the new academic session in SGRR (PG) College and MKP (PG) College began on Monday. ABVP member Pradeep Kumar said that college principal should withdraw his decision on merit based admissions and there should be no evening classes in self finance mode in the college. He said that student
leaders of all the groups are protesting against evening classes and in this, a delegation consisting of student leaders would meet the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Tuesday.
