Probe CM's reckless inauguration spree: BJP

Published on:

War of words continuing unabated following the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sarcastic comment  on Uttarakhand’s scooters guzzling much more fuel than their capacity, Bharatiya Janata Party fired a fresh salvo on Thursday , demanding an inquiry into the inauguration spree indulged in by Chief Minister Harish Rawat, sans budgetary provisions.    Demanding this, the State BJP media in-charge Dr Devendra Bhasin said that the CM should enlighten the people who are wondering over the back –to- back unveiling of foundation stones without budgetary  provisions to back them up.   “CM reacted with alacrity to the PM referring mockingly to the fuel scam that was one of the myriad scams involving  the 2013 disaster relief funds. However, he is steering clear of other issues PM raised during his public address at Parade Ground,” he said.

“If the state government has the spunk it should educate the people regarding the CM’s reckless inauguration spree. We are sure that such a probe would expose that the CM is  taking the people for a ride,” the state BJP leader said.

“Are we to forget that the state government is taking loans from RBI to disburse salary of the employeesIJ Are we fools to believe that the plethora of announcements being made by the CM has any substance in themIJ” he asked.   Taking a swipe at the Congress, he said  that the ruling party is raising hackles over the PM’s speech without going for the facts and figures in a bid to downplay the tremendous wave it has created in  the state for the BJP.
