Opening a front against the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh, the Congress leader and former president of the SC cell of the state Congress Darshan Lal has alleged that the PCC president is anti dalit. He called a press conference in Dehradun and levelled many charges against Singh. He said that Dalits were thrashed in Chakrata in 2013 when they tried to enter a temple and at that time Pritam Singh was home minister. Lal said that Singh kept silent on the issue. He said that Pritam Singh was asked to appear before the Irshad Ahmed Commission to present the case of the SCs and STs but he failed to appear before the commission. The dalit leader vowed to oppose and expose the PCC president.
