The Health Minister of Uttarakhand Surendra Singh Negi held a meeting of top officials of health department at Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday and reviewed the preparation for the Ardha Kumbh slated for 2016 in Haridwar.
The minister asked the officials to prepare a detailed working plan for the mega event in which about 5 crore devotes are expected to arrive. He suggested that the services of the agency which installed low cost toilets during Kumbh can be taken for Haridwar too. Negi asked the Principal Health secretary to ensure that the ground floor at Mela Bhawan earmarked for health department is vacated by the police department and handed over Mela officer health.
