A PRD personnel guard, who had allegedly sent an obscene picture to the daughter of an MlA, was beaten up by the MlA and his aides. Their senior officials had to intervene to end the brawl. The person was transferred immediately. However, no case has been registered at the Dalanwala police station under whose jurisdiction the incident happened.
Critics opined that public representatives who make laws in the Assembly are inclined to violate laws. The MlA should have lodged an FIR against the person rather than taking things in his own hands. This is a bad precedent and would definitely encourage bouts of lawlessness, said a resident of Dehradun.
