The Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Dhirendra Pratap has staked his claim to the Rajya Sabha seat vacated by Bhagat Singh Koshiyari who was elected to the lok Sabha.
Pratap met the All India Congress Committee general secretary and Uttarakhand Congress in-charge Ambika Soni and requested her to consider his claim.
Pratap said that his claim for the party ticket during the Vidhan Sabha and lok Sabha elections were ignored in the past inspite of his work for the party and State. He said that Soni had assured him that she would present his case to the Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
