Heavy rainfall that lashed Dehradun on Wednesday saw uprooted trees falling on electricity poles at several places, resulting in the snap of power supply for some time. However, Uttarakhand Power Corporation limited (UPCl) media in-charge and chief engineer AK Singh said that the problems were fixed soon. He said that at Jhajhra- Kaulagarh 33 kv electricity line, three poles were swept away while seven electricity poles were damaged due to heavy downpour. At Majra-Araghar 33 KV circuit-2, branches of trees fell on electricity poles, disrupting power supply for around an hour. At Kargi feeder 11 KV electricity line, power remained disrupted for close to three hours due to the same reason in Vidhya Vihar and its neighbourhood areas. Electricity poles at Araghar and Mohini Road, Dalanwala were swept away too.
