Postcard Kranti campaign undertaken by youth

As part of a Postcard Kranti campaign undertaken by local youth, about 500 handwritten post cards containing brief views of the citizens on the Dehradun Smart City project will be sent to the State Urban Development Minister Pritam Singh Panwar.

Making a Difference By  Being The Difference (MAD) launched this campaign in support of their demand of first making the existing Dehradun city smart instead of erecting the new smart city proposed in the Shimla bye-pass area. Ground founder Abhijay Negi said that the Postcard Kranti is essentially a campaign wherein  volunteers after holding wide consultations  with like-minded youngsters have requested each of them to write their brief views about the smart city issue on a post card. This drive was carried out by the volunteers at Gandhi Park and other locations including various collages. Negi said, “Having collected close to 500 handwritten responses on postcards, we will now send all these postcards to the State’s Urban Development minister.
