Police still zeroing-in on culprits in duo murder case

Regarding the murder of two persons — uncle and nephew — who were working as watchmen of a pump and pipe godown at Belri village in Haridwar district on Friday/Saturday night, police are still groping struggling in the dark to find out the identities of criminals involved in it. In course of investigation, it was revealed that both were killed after being hit on their heads with sharp weapons. A Roorkee police station officer said that several teams, including SOG, have been pressed into operation to crack the case. Some suspects were being questioned and the team members were reviewing CCTV footages installed in the incident area, he added . Police had earlier said that the criminals had taken away the DVR of CCTV cameras to escape detection.

Interestingly, the laptops and other items kept in the godown aside from pump sets and pipes had been untouched, making police struggling for the motive behind the double murder. Police are probing the case from the revenge angle, said the officer.
