Thirteen days after a four- year- old boy was allegedly abducted by unidentified persons from Ambedkarnagar Basti, Kanwali Road in Dehradun, police are still groping in the dark about the identity of the kingpin of the abduction gang allegedly involved in the case and the whereabouts of the boy. However, police had nabbed two persons- Rajiv, native of Rewari, Haryana on July 6 and lala Sahani, native of Muzaffarnagar on July 11- and had sent the duo to Suddhowala jail.
But the principal accused remaining elusive and the boy being untraced is adding to the worry of the district police brass. Notably, the missing child’s parents work as wage earners originally from Muzaffarnagar in Bihar.
Speaking of the matter on Saturday, SSP Nivedita Kukreti said that latest photograph of the minor has been provided to the team members. Such photograph has also been sent to various places like railway stations, bus stations, slum areas and some children’s homes based in places in Uttar Pradesh like Muzaffarnagar, Meerat and Ghaziabad aside from taking help of the social networking sites, appealing to the people to inform police if they happen to trace the boy.
Kotwali circle officer Chandra Mohan Singh had earlier said that some teams had been sent to other states to rescue the child.
