Police further said that Gurvinder had left Dehradun around five days ago. Notice has been issued to the house owner. High alert has been issued across Uttarakhand following the link being found here with the jailbreak.

The investigation revealed that anti-national activities were being conducted from the rented house in Raipur. Team raided   the locked house after breaking it open. Aside from cash amounting to `two lakh,  firearms, bomb-making ingredients, battery cells, iron bullets, mobile phones, chargers, iron rods, electronic compact scales (measuring weight), pliers and other tools were recovered. Besides, three identification cards and 123 soft copies of Adhar cards were seized from the raided house.

An investigating officer said that the magnitude of the seizure had made it clear that those residing there were linked to the terrorist gang now trying to revive the separatist movement in Punjab after a lull of some years.

According to Police, Gurvindar might have returned to Dehradun on way to Nepal via Banbasa had he not been arrested from Shamli.

Police said that an accused of the infamous Shivani murder case, Sunil had been lodged in Nabha jail from where he escaped in 2014. During the time he was in Nabha jail he came into contact with Gurvinder. Both escaped together and assured the KlF chief Harminder Singh Mintoo that they   would help him escape from Nabha jail in the coming days.
